Richard is an Investment Director at British International Investment. Previously, he was an investment officer at the US International Development Finance Corporation where he focused on expanding access to finance and supporting social enterprises around the globe. Prior roles centered on emerging market private equity, international development consulting and impact investing. Richard has a MA from the University of St. Andrews and a MBA from the George Washington University. Having seen firsthand the work of Oikocredit International’s clients around the globe, and the positive impact they generate, he was motivated to join the Oikocredit US Board in order to support its work and create more opportunity for retail investors to align their money with their values. Richard lives in London with his partner Michelle and miniature dachshund Violet – they just welcomed their first child in June 2022.
