Final Report Released: Oikocredit US 2020 Impact Investing Market Study and Stakeholder Research
Oikocredit US undertook this research to better understand the state of the US retail impact investing market. Our primary research consisted of interviews and surveys with 15 foundations, 13 faith-based organizations, and 65 individuals. We found that:
71% of individuals had made sustainable and/or impact investments.
Individuals are willing to make longer-term investments with lower returns for a high-impact purpose.
Foundations are interested in concessionary returns for impact investments - but only from their limited program-related investment portfolio
2021 Impact Report Webinar: Resilience and Togetherness
On Friday, September 24, Oikocredit Canada and Oikocredit US came together to celebrate the recent launch of Oikocredit International's 2021 Impact Report. Oikocredit board members, staff, and guests participated in a discussion about the role impact investors like Oikocredit play in COVID-19 recovery.

Leading Investment Consultants Form Global Initiative to Push for Net Zero
The PRI (Principles for Responsible Investment) will host the Net Zero Investment Consultants Initiative (NZICI), an initiative from some of the world’s most prominent investment consultants to align their operations and advisory services with the 1.5 degree emissions trajectory outlined in the Paris Agreement. NZICI members advise on assets exceeding $10 trillion, and this initiative is critical in moving institutional investors in a timely transition to net zero emissions.
Business Education Must Evolve: A Faith-based Lens Can Help Relocate Its Purpose
Prof. Atul K Shah at the City University of London recently observed that, "Significant questions are now being asked about the very purpose of business enterprise, and about the need for sustainable firms and leadership. This means that corporate leaders need to have a long-term mindset and to be concerned not just for their own bottom line, but also for wider society and the environment."
