Looking Back - Moving Forward

In honor of Oikocredit International’s 45th anniversary, a short video looking back to the founders’ vision has been released. In this video, Thos Gieskes, Oikocredit’s Managing Director, expresses his gratitude to thousands of investors, partners, volunteers and staff. Oikocredit was launched in November 1975 in the Netherlands. Since then, the goal has been to promote social justice by providing capital to businesses run by people with low incomes. The organization’s reach has been achieved through the solidarity expressed by today’s 59,000 investors, together with our many other supporters, past and present.
